After receiving the bottle caps, they were used in purchasing and delivering the wheelchairs, hearing aid walking stick for needy disabled people in coordination with one of the Disabled Association of Khuzestan Province.
As stated by PR of Fajr Petrochemical Company: a campaign
on “Gathering Used Bottle Caps) was organized and launched by this company with
the purpose of helping fellow human beings and the responsible goals in the
field of the environment.
The mentioned campaign was started by the following
sentence: “Have you ever gathered the bottle caps on the table after party and
the others asked you why you gathered them shockingly?”
The plastic bottles are commonly used for storing liquids
such as water, fizzy drinks, motor oil, cooking oil, medicine, shampoo, milk
and ink. The bottle caps are made of polyethylene and have a severe destructive
role in the environment. In addition, these bottle caps are left in the nature.
As they are not dissoluble, they remain in the nature for centuries. So,
several gathering baskets with a special sign are placed in restaurant staff in
order the staff put the bottle caps in them. After receiving the bottle caps
were used in purchasing and delivering the wheelchairs, hearing aid walking
stick for needy disabled people in coordination with one of the Disabled
Association of Khuzestan Province. As a matter of fact, the final usage of the
bottle caps is producing waterproofing.
