Fajr Petrochemical Company, as one of the six representatives of petrochemical industry attended the first excellence and continuous improvement in oil industry and received the crystal statue award.
According to the Department of Public Relations of Fajr
Petrochemical Company, following the company's success in receiving the crystal
statue of the Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award, and at the same time
attending the first forum on excellence award and continuous improvement of the
oil industry, Iranian Oil Minister finally awarded the crystal statue at the
highest level to the company.
The closing ceremony of the first
award festival was held on Saturday, March 3 in the specialized conference hall
of oil industry in Tehran, in which the minister of oil, his deputies in oil,
gas, refining and petrochemical companies, some scholars in the field of
management and the managing directors of the companies participated.
According to Petro Energy Information Network (Shana), Some
bylaws have already been notified by an official on behalf of Oil Minister for
the award of excellence and the continuous improvement of the oil industry in
order to implement and expand the culture of excellence and continuous
improvement in the oil industry. The bylaws are considered to be as the
consequence of some efforts by some headquarter specialists, four main
companies, and also the act of modeling of some famous internationally
recognized models and standards.
As Shana added, the award secretary expressed his
commitment to follow up the measures and steps required to register the excellence
award and continuous improvement of the oil industry in the list of the awards which
have already been approved by the European Quality Assurance Directorate and
other relevant internationally accredited institutions.
According to Fajr Petrochemical
Company's Department of Public Relations, the scientific model of the bylaws which
have been announced last March, well conforms with the European Quality
Management Foundation's for Excellence Model.
Of the objectives of the bylaws are
as follows: to identify, introduce and appreciate some superior oil industry
units with an aim to lay the bases for creating a competition atmosphere with
creativity and innovation; encourage those companies to do self-assessment and
identify their own strengths and the areas that can be improved; create the
necessary space for the exchange of experiences and knowledge of successful
organizations; and to develop and institutionalize a culture of continuous
improvement and to develop the capabilities of Iran's oil industry.
As Mr. Akbari, the secretary of the state award of
excellence and continuous improvement of the oil industry said, more than 50
thousand hours have so far been spent to evaluate the activities of 16 selected
companies from major oil, gas, petrochemical and refineries industries to
determine the position of their existing companies.
About 10 qualified companies of these industries have
so far received a crystal statue, 4 companies were awarded a five-star
certificate and two companies were awarded the appreciation plaque.
