According to the Public Relations Department of Fajr Energy Persian Gulf, the conference on Social Responsibility and Organizational Culture was held on October 7 in Tehran, where the company’s documented performance across various domains was recognized and honored with the Golden Statue of the event.
Environmental Protection and Water Resources Conservation
Through the establishment and operation of two major industrial wastewater treatment plants, Fajr Energy purifies nearly six million cubic meters of highly polluted petrochemical effluents annually. A significant portion of this treated water is reused for irrigation of the region’s green spaces—a measure that reduces pollution, protects the Persian Gulf, and preserves the environment at the heart of Iran’s industrial sector.
Water recycling projects implemented over the past four years have led to a reduction of over 55 million cubic meters in water withdrawal from the Karun River—equivalent to the annual drinking water needed for a city of 700,000 people and roughly equal to the yearly consumption of local petrochemical industries along the river.
Ensuring Energy Security
During the most challenging summers in Khuzestan Province, Fajr Energy has produced and supplied more than 10 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity over seven years, preventing blackouts for nearly 600,000 people. This sustained supply has supported regional industries while bringing comfort and stability to households across the province.
Promoting Culture and Social Capital
From donating electrical cables and equipment to strengthen lighting networks in neighboring cities, to helping build housing for vulnerable groups, and from supporting student science workshops to sponsoring Olympic champions—Fajr Energy has created opportunities for youth development, motivation, and hope within the community.
Enhancing Healthcare and Public Well-being
The company has donated two 1,250 kVA diesel generators to the Petrochemical Industries Hospital, provided a laparoscopy system to Navid Hospital in Bandar Imam, and supplied liquid oxygen shipments to local hospitals. These actions position Fajr Energy not merely as an industrial enterprise but as a dedicated supporter of the healthcare sector.
Transparency and Accountability
With over a decade of consistent publication of corporate sustainability reports, including the sixth biennial report (2021–2022) based on GRI global standards, Fajr Energy has proven that transparency and accountability form the core of its organizational identity.
At the closing ceremony, the company received six Certificates of Commitment in the following categories:
- Healthcare and medical services
- Product quality and after‑sales service enhancement
- Human and social responsibility
- Green project implementation
- Support for culture, arts, and education
- Environmental protection (“Green Brand”).
