Rising Satisfaction with Mahshahr’s Utility Hub / Highest Satisfaction for Fajr Energy in Environmental Performance
For the thirteenth consecutive year, Fajr Energy Persian Gulf has monitored its performance in relation to the community.

According to the Public Relations Department, since 2011 (1390 in the Iranian calendar), Fajr Energy Persian Gulf has conducted annual and continuous community surveys with the aim of understanding stakeholder opinions and achieving ongoing improvement in its activities.

In 2024 (1403), for the thirteenth time, the company evaluated its performance in relation to society for the previous year (2023 / 1402) through a satisfaction survey. In the 2022 (1401) survey, the target satisfaction level was set at 80%, and the final overall satisfaction score reached 79.843%, whereas in 2021 (1400) this figure was 78.782%.

For the 2023 (1402) performance survey, the satisfaction target remained 80%, and the overall satisfaction achieved was 78.71%. Respondents expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance as follows: 75.929% in the public sector category, 60.974% in the governance-support category, and 80% in the environmental category — with the environmental sector receiving the highest level of satisfaction across the survey.

In the public sector indicators, the highest satisfaction related to adherence to human values and dignity, while the lowest satisfaction (70.68%) concerned awareness of and involvement in future decisions and changes at Fajr that are relevant to stakeholders. This trend mirrored the previous year.

In the governance-support section, the highest satisfaction again related to adherence to human values and dignity, while the lowest satisfaction concerned stakeholder awareness of future decisions and changes, which scored only 37%. This pattern was consistent with last year’s results.

In the environmental category, the highest satisfaction (87.5%) was recorded for compliance with environmental laws and regulations, while the lowest satisfaction (72.2%) was for the company’s performance in receiving and treating regional wastewater. Similar results were observed in the previous year.

The statistical population for this survey comprised 27 organizations, to which a total of 135 questionnaires were sent. The participation rate in the latest survey was 33.3%.

Based on the results, 55% of respondents described Fajr Energy as reputable, 35% as highly reputable, and 10% as neither reputable nor disreputable. Additionally, 64.4% rated the company’s actions in health, safety, and environmental protection as good or very good. 77.7% rated the company’s role in creating direct and indirect employment in the region as good or very good, and 50% rated awareness of future decisions and company changes as average, low, or very low.

It is noteworthy that Fajr Energy Persian Gulf has implemented significant actions in the field of social responsibility. One of its most impactful contributions each year has been the injection of 500 MW of instantaneous power into the national grid during the hot summer months, benefiting both local industries and residents. This action has supplied electricity to more than 600,000 households in the region.

Furthermore, the company has set and enhanced a record for continuous and stable production of vital utility services through the end of 2024 (1403), a success that is ongoing.

In line with environmental protection, Fajr Energy treats industrial and sanitary wastewater from local companies, with a significant portion reused for irrigation of green spaces. The company continually emphasizes teamwork and strategic action for the development and prosperity of the county, working within the Strategic Council of CEOs of petrochemical companies in the Special Economic Zone, with a strong focus on long-term social services.
